Product Research & Development Co-Ordinator / Trainee Co-Ordinator - Blackpool

The purpose of the role is to support and co-ordinate the research, development and delivery of new products from concepts through to launch. The role is responsible for identifying market opportunities, developing customer led-product concepts and project managing the product development process to ensure successful commercial outcomes.
Responsibilities
Key Tasks
- Conduct structured market research to identify customer needs, competitor activity and market gaps.
- Generate and evaluate new product ideas aligned with business strategy.
- Monitor industry trends, innovations and commercial opportunities.
- Develop product concepts through direct customer engagement and research.
- Organise and attend face-to-face customer research meetings.
- Prepare detailed design briefs for Product Design.
- Project manage new product development projects, ensuring milestones are met.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams including Product Design, Engineering, Marketing, Sales and Operations.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders.
- Co-ordinate activities required for new product launches.
- Support the ongoing management and review of the existing product portfolio.
- Undertake business travel as required.

- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within agreed parameters.
- Maintain strong customer engagement to support evidence-based product development.
