QA Inspector - Blackpool

Glasdon are looking to recruit a professional Quality Assurance Inspector to verify product quality and compliance through inspection and testing, ensuring defects are identified early, non-conforming products are controlled, and only compliant products are released to customers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quality inspections and testing of incoming stock, audits of outgoing products and additional audits throughout the production lifecycle.
- Conduct environmental stress testing, accelerated aging tests and performance evaluations.
- Provide technical quality support to Customer Support and internal teams.
- Conduct supplier and customer visits where required to support quality assurance activities.
- Report and advise on product quality data and investigate defects to drive corrective actions.
- Work with Product Design and Engineering during new product development and product changes.
- Maintain accurate and extensive technical files, quality records and compliance documentation.
- Conduct visits to suppliers and customers as needed.

Ideal Candidate
Essential Skills & Attributes
- Commercial experience in quality assurance and/or quality control within a technical or manufacturing environment.
- Experience of working with manufactured, tangible (non-FMCG) products.
- Competent in the use of testing and inspection equipment (e.g. gauges, dimensional inspection, impact or performance testing).
- Excellent IT skills, with strong literacy, numeracy, and analytical capability.
- High attention to detail and the ability to accurately record and interpret quality data.
- A confident, proactive approach, with effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Full, Clean UK Driving License.
Desirable
- Familiar with TQMS, ISO 14001:2015 / 9001:2015, ESG, UN Sustainable Development Goals, environmental regulations, safety standards and supplier auditing.
- Experience of supplier quality activities, including supplier audits or quality assessments.
Qualifications
- Qualification in Engineering, Science, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
