On Thursday 31st October 2024, Glasdon Group Limited had the pleasure of welcoming Mrs Amanda Parker JP, His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire to our premises in Blackpool along with Deputy Lieutenant Mr Robert Parker.
As the appointed representative for the King in Lancashire, the Lord-Lieutenant attended to open the latest addition to the Preston New Road site.
Company founder and Chairman, Mr Donald Sidebottom MBE, FCIHT welcomed Mrs Parker JP and Mr Parker to the Glasdon Discovery Centre, where they viewed the extensive range of Glasdon products on display. They also learnt about the Group's Charitable and Environmental activities.
Mrs Parker JP officially opened the newly extended production facility at the Preston New Road site which is set to enhance the company's operational efficiency. This was followed by a tour where they witnessed the manufacturing of products.
The Lord-Lieutenant also viewed the new outdoor display area, intended to provide a glimpse into how litter bins, bollards, and benches might look in situ.
Mr Sidebottom stated how honoured he was to receive the Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire, and to have the opportunity to present our industry-leading products from Glasdon, and the new facilities, and how proud he was of all Glasdon employees and the contribution they had made to the growth of the company.
