Ground Fixing Bolts (A) & (B)
Secures bin with minimal groundworks requiredUtilising ground fixings will allow your bin to be permanently fixed to its location. The fixing bolts are inserted through the fixing holes in the base of the bin and driven into freshly drilled holes in the ground, allowing the container to be attached to the surface securely.
We offer ground fixing bolts for concrete foundations (A), as well as ground fixing bolts for paving slabs (B), in order to allow your chosen litter or recycling bin to be sited securely to various locations.
It is recommended to use ground fixings wherever possible when securing your bins in place, to provide additional resistance to vandalism, theft or unauthorised removal.
Ground fixing bolts are available for use for a wide range of our outdoor containers, and are provided with relevant instruction manuals to allow for the correct installation of your chosen litter or recycling bin.

Concrete-in Anchors (Adjustable Depth) (C)
Use to overcome ground depth restrictions, optimise security, flexibility, and to eliminate surface bolts (when the bin has been removed).Concrete-in Anchors (C) offer maximum security and flexibility. This fixing combines concrete mix and fixing bolts to secure your chosen outdoor litter or recycling bin to its location.
Glasdon Concrete-in Anchors can be adjusted in length according to the depth of ground available, siting the bin flush with ground level. This allows for the bin to be easily removed and replaced whilst eliminating the potential trip hazard caused by surface bolts.
This makes Concrete-in Anchors also suitable where bins are to be located for temporary or seasonal applications and in new developments, whilst providing a robust and extremely secure fixing.
To install your chosen bin, a hole should be dug in the ground where the bin is intended to be placed. This hole should then be filled with concrete, and the fixing anchors (with the bin attached) driven into the concrete mixture in the desired position before it sets. This should allow the base of the container to be sited flush with ground level.
The use of adjustable depth Concrete-in Anchors will provide enhanced security for your chosen litter or recycling bin, with increased resistance to vandalism or theft.
Always refer to the supplied instruction manual when fixing your litter bin with Concrete-in Anchors.

Flush Ground Fixing (D)
Secures bin flush to ground, eliminates surface boltsFlush Ground Fixings are an available option for some of the Glasdon litter or recycling bins, and are used to securely fix a bin to the ground using concrete mix and a fixing bracket.
Flush Ground Fixings provide a secure attachment, without any bolts or fixings surfacing above ground level. If the bin is removed this means that there are no trip hazard risks from protruding objects.
To install, the fixing bracket is placed inside a hole, in which the top of the bracket should be level with the ground surface. This hole is then filled with concrete. Once the concrete has set, the bolts should be removed from the tool and then reinserted through the base of the bin (once in place), to securely fasten it to the flush-ground fixing bracket.
These Flush Ground Fixings also provide additional resistance to theft or unauthorised use due to the secure fixing, and the container can be removed and re-sited if necessary.

Ground-Lock Fixing System (E)
Secures bin on soft or unsurfaced groundGlasdon Ground-Lock fixings are recommended for use when siting a litter or recycling bin on soft or unsurfaced ground, without having to excavate or concrete the earth.
The Ground-Lock system has a unique ‘remove and re-site’ locking feature, in which the fixing locks into the ground to allow for a secure attachment, but can be deactivated and detached if needed for relocation.
The Ground-Lock fixing is inserted into the ground, and a Ground-Lock Fixing Tool is then used to ensure that the system is successfully engaged and secured in place. The bin is then attached to the system using the supplied fixing bolts for a secure installation. (One Fixing Tool is supplied free for every three ground-lock fixing systems ordered, and is also available to purchase at an additional cost.)
The Glasdon Ground-Lock Fixing System is supplied with relevant instruction manuals, and is available for a large range of our litter and recycling bins.

External (F) and Internal (G) Base Weights
Stabilises the bin by adding weight to the baseThe use of a base weight is an ideal solution for securing litter and recycling bins to the desired surface, without the need for groundworks.
An External Base Weight (F) is a weighted plinth that is attached to the base of a container to provide extra stability. A universal moulded plinth, made from 100% recycled plastic, is the available choice for the majority of our litter and recycling bins. Some Glasdon bins may be available with base weights made from concrete, rubber, or metal, depending on the style of the chosen bin and the weight required. The plinth is secured to the exterior of the litter or recycling bin in order to create the external base weight.
An Internal Base Weight (G) is also a way of adding weight to the container, however in this case, the weight is added to the interior of the bin. The litter or recycling bin base is filled with either concrete or sand amounting to a specified weight, to create an internal base weight and root the bin to the ground.
The external and internal base weights are available in varying weights, dependent on the litter or recycling bin they are to be attached to. These are ideal for indoor or outdoor bins that may be sited on flooring that cannot be drilled into or worked on.

Concreting-in (H)
Sets the bin base directly into the concrete to permanently fix it to the groundWhen fixing a litter or recycling bin to the ground without using fixing bolts or brackets, the Concreting-in process may be utilised.
Similar to the Concrete-in Anchors fixing process, the Concreting-in fixing option uses concrete mix to securely fix the bin to the ground. In this case, the base of the bin itself is set into the concrete foundation, without the need for fixing bolts or anchors.
Concreting-in is suitable for containers that have been specifically designed for installation using this fixing process. This method is ideal when permanently fixing litter and recycling bins to their location, eliminating the possibility of removal.
Concreting-in provides added resistance to vandalism and theft for your chosen litter or recycling bin.

Free Standing Base (I)
Provides extra stability where groundworks are not appropriateWhere ground fixings would not be suitable, the Free Standing Base may be an ideal alternative solution.
The Free Standing Base is a level, even platform which can be attached to the underside of a litter or recycling bin using fixing bolts.
Unlike an External Base Weights, the Free Standing Base is not weighted. It provides a flat, stable base for the bin, allowing it to be positioned in an appropriate location.
The Free-Standing Base is intended for use in internal and external environments, and can be sited on surfaces such as marble or wooden flooring.
This fixing method is required for litter or recycling bins where ground fixings are not appropriate for the location, but extra stability is needed for the container.
