Accounting for Recycling

The Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales (ICAEW) is a professional organisation created by Royal Charter in 1880. With more than 140,000 members (15,000 of them working outside the UK), the ICAEW ensures that Chartered Accountants attain the highest possible standards, through extensive training and professional development.

At the core of the ICAEW's mission is the principle of acting responsibly, in the best interests of members and the public. In accordance with the institute's core values, the ICAEW's facilities team contacted Glasdon with a view to implementing a recycling strategy at Chartered Accountants' Hall, the institute's headquarters in the heart of the City of London.

Chartered Accountants' Hall is home to more than 300 permanent members of staff, and large groups of members regularly visit to make use of the world class facilities available. The ICAEW Facilities Team wanted to operate a policy of leading by example, demonstrating recycling containers in place at One Moorgate Place in the hope that members and their firms would follow their lead.

For the centralised recycling points installed across One Moorgate Place, the ICAEW chose the Nexus® 100 Recycling Bin from Glasdon.

Nexus 100 offers a simple front-access door that neatly contains recyclables inside the container. The door is wheeled to make emptying and cleaning the recycling bin a breeze. An integrated drip tray ensures any waste liquid in drinks containers stay neatly within the Nexus 100 instead of leaking out and marking floors or surfaces.

With Nexus 100 Recycling Bins in place around the building, Chartered Accountants' Hall has taken an important step in reducing its carbon footprint. To start your journey today, call Glasdon on (01253) 600 410, email enquiries@glasdon-uk.co.uk, or use the Live Chat feature on this website.
