Field Sales Executive (EP02) - Northern England

To drive sales growth across an assigned geographical territory by promoting Glasdon's market-leading range of waste management, street furniture, safety products and seating solutions. The role is responsible for winning new business, developing existing customer accounts and maximising sales opportunities through effective territory planning and account management.

Working with customers across a broad range of commercial and public sector organisations, including but not limited to retail, leisure, manufacturing, transport, utilities, healthcare, education and government, you will build long-term customer relationships, provide expert product advice and deliver tailored solutions that support customer success while driving sustainable business growth.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks

  • Develop new business opportunities whilst maintaining and growing existing customer accounts across an assigned geographical territory.
  • Promote Glasdon's market-leading range of waste management, street furniture, safety products and seating solutions through face-to-face and online customer meetings and product demonstrations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their requirements and recommending tailored product solutions that support long-term account growth.
  • Work collaboratively with the Customer Support team to ensure customer enquiries, quotations, orders and requests are managed efficiently, delivering a seamless customer experience.
  • Develop and implement an effective territory plan, prioritising customer activity and maximising sales opportunities across the assigned region.
  • Identify opportunities to increase sales through account development, cross-selling and introducing customers to Glasdon's wider product portfolio.
  • Generate new sales opportunities through prospecting, networking, exhibitions, industry events and proactive customer engagement.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements to identify commercial opportunities and support business growth.
  • Develop a strong understanding of Glasdon's products and markets to provide informed advice and recommend solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, sharing customer feedback and market insight to support product development, continuous improvement and commercial success.

  • Effectively manage the assigned territory to maximise customer engagement and commercial opportunities.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience in a field-based sales, account management or business development role, with responsibility for managing a geographical territory and achieving sales targets.
  • Experience selling tangible products or solution-based products, with the ability to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities, develop customer relationships and grow existing accounts.
  • A confident communicator with experience delivering face-to-face and online customer meetings, presentations and product demonstrations.
  • An organised, self-motivated individual with excellent planning skills and the ability to manage a varied workload across an assigned territory.
  • A full UK driving licence, with the ability to travel extensively and provide effective coverage of the assigned geographical territory.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. 30-minute lunch break.

Ideal Candidate

Essential Skills & Attributes

  • Proven success within a field-based B2B sales environment.
  • Ability to develop new business opportunities whilst maintaining and growing existing customer accounts.
  • Knowledge of selling tangible products or solution-based products through a consultative sales approach.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to effectively manage a geographical territory.
  • Confident in delivering professional product presentations and demonstrations, both face-to-face and online.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Must hold a full UK Driving Licence

Desirable

  • Knowledge of commercial and/or public sector sales environments.
  • Ability to interpret sales reports, customer insights and market trends to identify commercial opportunities.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn and other professional networking platforms to support business development activities.
