A Season of Success - Team Jadan End of Season Report

As the 2025 cycling season winds down, Team Jadan can add numerous achievements to their highlight reel this year.

It’s been another intense but inspiring season for Team Jadan Vive le Vélo Glasdon, with national championships, gruelling time trials, and hectic five-day sprints all pushing the team to their absolute limits. Despite this, Team Jadan’s riders finished strongly, earning multiple podium and top 10 finishes across the country.

The season kicked off at the Track Nationals in February, with three Jadan riders in particular distinguishing themselves. Dannie Watkinson, having competed in every endurance event across the three days, earned second place in the Points Championship, placing only moments behind Olympic champion Katie Archibald. Rebecca Newark (in her debut season with the team) claimed silver in the C5 Individual Pursuit and a national title in the Mixed Team Sprint, while Charlotte Deykin (another new addition) piloted the tandem with stoker Lora Fachie to earn two silver and one bronze podium finishes.

“The standout moment of my season was racing to second place at the National Points Championship. The team vibe made it even more special – fun, supportive, and full of energy.”Dannie Watkinson

Next up was the National Road Series, with Team Jadan facing several strong UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) squads. Despite the stiff competition, Charlotte shone at East Cleveland, finishing in the front bunch, while Nicola Greenwood impressed with her grit at the Lincoln GP, tackling the famous Michaelgate climb eight times.

As July arrived, it brought with it the National Crit Series, a favourite among the team for its intensity and excitement. Kicking off at Otley, the riders faced torrential rain and difficult conditions during the races, but continued their momentum until the very end. With over 100 riders participating, Kirstie Drakeford and Bekah Nash secured several top-20 finishes, helping Team Jadan earn an incredible 4th place overall in the National Crit Series, the highest ranked non-UCI team.

“Finishing as 4th team overall and 1st non-UCI team was incredible, and it wouldn’t have been possible without our sponsors and supporters.”Bekah Nash

Finally, the season was brought to a close by Ras na mBan, a gruelling six-stage race over five days of tough, wet, and technical racing. For many of the riders, it was their first stage race – and they rose to the challenge brilliantly. Kirstie excelled, finishing 23rd overall in GC and 7th on the opening stage, while the team worked cohesively throughout, animating stages and supporting one another.

“This season has been incredible for growth. The Ras was a highlight – tough, emotional, and unforgettable. I learned so much and can’t wait to see what we achieve next year.”Kirstie Drakeford

Other highlights of the season included Rebecca being selected for the Great Britain Para Team, following success at the Para World Cup, and Abbie Taylor winning a new bike through the Haus Crit Series competition.

All of us here at Glasdon would like to congratulate Team Jadan on their accomplishments over the past season, and wish them the best of luck as they continue to grow and race into 2026 and beyond.

Having supported Team Jadan for their 2025 season, Glasdon are proud to renew our support for the next year, and are excited to see what new medals and accolades Team Jadan can add to their already-extensive collection!
