Glasdon UK Limited took pride of place as one of the race’s sponsors.
On Sunday 11th May, the Rapha Lincoln Grand Prix launched with great enthusiasm, seeing hundreds of competitors don their cycling gear and mount their bikes to scramble for a spot on the leaderboards.
The sportive, which sees competitors race around the centre of Lincoln before striking out to the outskirts and heading back again, was first held in the summer of 1956, and has run annually ever since.
Over the years the race has boasted a rich and colourful history of crowd favourites, nail-biting finishes, and intriguing anecdotes that have helped paint an almost 70-year tapestry of cycling heritage.
To this day, the grand prix remains one of the oldest running and most significant road cycling events in the UK, recently winning an award for Domestic Race of the Year.
Having been sponsors of the race for the last few years, Glasdon were once again proud to support the Rapha Lincoln Grand Prix and help sustain such a historic and notable event.
Deputy Chairman Philip Greenwood attended the races, witnessing the stiff competition and impressive cycling prowess on display (and taking a few quick snaps while he was at it).
