Gateways are a common sight on roadsides up and down the country. Used mostly as boundary markers to welcome visitors to towns and villages, gateways are regularly used for all kinds of signage in parks and open spaces, holiday parks and tourist attractions.
Wooden gates are the most typical option, but wood requires expensive maintenance to keep it looking its best. Outdoor wood needs to be cleaned regularly and treated, varnished or painted. Bare wood left outside in direct sunlight and rain will warp, fade and eventually rot, leading to serious repair or full replacement.
We've designed the Glasdon Gateway to offer all the attractive benefits of a wooden gate with none of the drawbacks. Glasdon Gateway is made from Everwood™ Material, a polymer with a realistic timber grain. Unlike wood, Everwood will never rot, warp or crack. Everwood is self coloured, so it never needs painting or any surface treatment. A simple wipe down will keep Glasdon Gateway looking brand new for many years.
With Glasdon Gateway, the possibilities are (nearly) endless:
- Choose your colour: Light Oak or Dark Oak for a varnished wood effect, or White for maximum visibility.
- Choose the width you need: Standard options are 960mm, 1.5m or 2m.
- Choose how many slats: We can supply Glasdon Gateway with between one and four, with an optional crossbar for a traditional farm gate look.
- Choose a height: Standard options are 1.3m or 1.8m above ground.
Legs can be cut down to any size for variable installation, and to different lengths for uneven verges. Gateway can be configured as an L shape for even more options.
We can supply you with custom-made signage to your specification. If you'd prefer, you can use your own signage, either existing or from your usual supplier: if that's the case, we recommend you send us the exact dimensions of the sign so we can make sure your Gateway is a perfect fit.
