As one of the UK’s leading traffic bollards suppliers, we offer an extensive range of rigid and passively safe street bollards with ground fixings for all applications. All of our bollards are designed and manufactured by us, to meet the highest quality and safety standards.
As pioneers in the field of passively safe roadside structures and manufacturing road and keep left bollards, Glasdon bollards are selected for use all over the highways and byways of the UK.
In addition to rigid Durapol® material bollards, we offer flexible rebound bollards. Certified as passively safe to performance standard BS EN 12767-1:2007 NE4 at 100kph, rebound Impactapol® material bollards are designed to self-right themselves and return to an upright position, while minimising the severity of injury to the occupants of a vehicle should a collision with one of the bollards occur. Learn more about passive safety standards here.
We understand that finding the right ground fixing is just as important as selecting the bollard itself, which is why we provide a wide range of fixing solutions, adaptor and blanking plates for a wide variety of applications. The Guardsman™ anti-ram fixing provides ram raid protection for both premises and property and is supplied with our selection of security bollards as standard.
Our commitment to new product development means that we're constantly looking for ways to improve, and so in 2011: the LockFast™ socket arrived. For the first time, we are able to combine two of our most popular design features into one product: a passively safe rebound bollard that features a Glasdon key locking socket to allow it to be removed and replaced without ground works. The LockFast socket is available with Durapol material bollards too.
For quick and simple installation in areas where excavation is impossible e.g. on bridges, multi-storey car parks or where below-ground utilities are close to the surface, we offer traffic bollards with the option of a bolt-down fixing. Bolt down bollards can be installed in under 8 minutes by a single operative with simple power tools.
Alternative ground fixings for existing and new concrete bases and socket systems to aid easy removal and replacement are also available. Read more in our guide to fixing options for bollards.
This range of bollards also includes a variety of illuminated traffic bollards, for areas where illumination is a statutory requirement. View more of the Glasdon Road Safety Equipment range online today.
