Features / Specifications

Modus is a high-capacity housing that securely contains a wheeled bin in a tidy manner.

Modus is available in two sizes - a 770 model designed to house a 600, 660 or 770ltr wheeled bin, or a 1280 model designed for either 1100 or 1280ltr containers.

A hooded peak helps to protect the aperture from the elements. The Vandalex® frame provides exceptional strength and weather resistance. The Modus Housing features a base skirting to keep pests out and conceal the door wheel, which is adjustable to ensure easy opening. A stainless steel hinge provides strength and security.

The Modus Housing features extremely strong Ecoboard™ panels. The core of the Ecoboard panels contains 100% recycled material which is made from post consumer and post industrial recycled waste. The material will not chip or rust and never needs painting.

We recommend that a risk assessment is undertaken to identify an appropriate location for your waste collection and recycling units. In order to reduce risk, some organisations decide to place the units a minimum of 5 metres away from buildings. Any potential risk can be further reduced by maintaining a regime of regularly emptying the unit. You may also wish to consider installing a Glasdon FireSafe.

  • Vandalex material frame provides exceptional strength and is vandal and weather resistant.
  • Extremely robust Ecoboard panelling contains 100% recycled material.
  • Durapol hood encloses the wheeled bin inside the unit, offers weather protection and provides security.
  • Hood peak provides extra weather protection to the apertures.
  • Chute behind the apertures helps to ensure that litter enters the wheeled bin.
  • Front-opening design with door stay feature provides easy access to the wheeled bin inside.
  • Features a 3-point locking system.
  • The door features a handle and stainless steel hinge.
  • An adjustable door wheel enables easy opening of the door and levels the door on uneven surfaces.
  • Base skirting provides a guard around the base of the housing, to minimize the risk of pests entering the housing and also conceal the door wheel.
  • Aperture panels & graphics (supplied with RecycleNow General Waste graphics as standard. Modus can be extensively personalised - contact us for more information.)
  • Supplied fully assembled.
  • Bolts for permanent ground fixing into concrete.

However, after sending photos of the defects I was told that the bench would be collected and a replacement would follow. All was done without any quibbles and with great efficiency. From the very first enquiry, to meeting M****** at the factory who looked after me and my colleague very professionally and took a great interest in the story we had to tell behind our cricket team and reason for the memorial bench, to the team who I dealt with right through with A***** and K******, I couldn't fault anything. Very much appreciated. 2. Although the delivery was not something I could be involved with due to it's far location, I understand from the Riverdale Hotel where it was delivered to, everything was spot on. 3. We wanted a bench that was largely maintenance free due to it being located where we would only be visiting occasionally but annually. This bench ticks all the boxes in that regard, and the quality will stand up to any use it encounters. 4. We needed to change part of our order and this was handled very quickly and with no fuss 4. Due to it's delivery location perhaps an email confirming it had arrived would have been appropriate for me as the hotel failed to let me know, but otherwise all other communication was good. 5. I couldn't fault anything. The way me and my colleague was looked after at our initial meeting at the factory with M****** was very reassuring and professional and as I mentioned, he took a genuine interest in our story behind the purchase. It was so pleasing for us that he took time to deal with what to the company is a small purchase. M****** mentioned that you might be interested in receiving a photo or two of the bench at it's location and a small account of the story behind it with a view to putting it into your in-house magazine. I'd be more than happy to follow that up should you wish. Thanks again to the whole team.

You wouldn't believe how happy this bin has made me, not just the amazing colour (orange) and sturdy design but the fact that I can get our factory to recycle all our plastic bags. Winner 4. Didn't need any after sales, but I'm sure it would have been perfect. This type of bin needs to be promoted across all factories as we receive 90% of our parts in plastic bags that on the whole are in branded bags and get cut open, therefore un-re-useable.
