Sublite Pod™ Bollard Uplighter

Sublite Pod is our retrofit bollard uplighter gear tray for lighting illuminated traffic bollards (including Glasdon Signmaster) when fitted into a pre–installed below ground light chamber. The pod houses an LED circuit utilising the latest LED technology to illuminate bollards using just 5 Watts of power, offering very low energy consumption. Sublite Pod can help reduce your energy bills and carbon footprint to meet energy targets without compromising on luminance performance (meets requirements of BS EN 12899–2).

Sublite Pod features a sealed polycarbonate pod which protects the LED circuit from environmental conditions. The pod has the highest Ingress Protection (IP) rating possible, IP68, meaning it is designed to withstand submersion in water – offering protection even in extreme instances where the light chamber becomes filled with water*.

Sublite Pod can be supplied with one of four different shapes of aluminium gear tray plate to offer compatibility with over 20 industry–leading light chambers. The plates are interchangeable and snap–fit onto the pod without the need for tools or fixings. Sublite Pod provides a unique capability to select and fit the gear tray on site during installation – especially useful when the chamber type is unknown beforehand. A universal gear tray pack featuring all four plates is available.

The LED pod is supplied in clear polycarbonate with an anodised aluminium base plate. The gear trays are manufactured from self–coloured aluminium. Other colours or finishes are not available.

*It should be noted that despite the circuit being protected (IP68) – the IP rating of other equipment possibly located inside the chamber such as the cut out, transformer and non–IP rated plug connectors are unlikely to be protected in the event of a chamber filling with water. The best way to ensure the system is protected is to hard wire the Sublite Pod directly into the cut out, provided the cut out is not located in the chamber also. If the ability to unplug the light unit is required – we can offer IP68 plug connectors (available as an Optional Extra).

This product is fully recyclable at the end of its life providing any stickers or graphics have been removed.
