Features / Specifications

Designed to co-ordinate with existing street furniture and traditional designs, this durable outdoor seat is ideal for siting around recreational areas, heritage sites, coastal locations or town centres.

The Lowther seat comprises of corrosion / weather resistant cast aluminium ends with Armortec® coating, a durable paint finish which limits the impact of scratches, offering long lasting outdoor seating with minimal maintenance.

The unique, Armortec coated, L-shaped steel support frame and rigid construction provides overall strength and vandal resistance, making the seat stronger and reduces bowing (not applicable to models purchased with Vandalex slats).

Lowther seat is available with a wide selection of slat colours/finishes, utilising Enviropol®, Timberpol® or Vandalex® material, providing 7 different models to choose from. Vandalex slats provide excellent fire resistance when compared to standard wooden benches.

As with most Glasdon street furniture, this outdoor bench with armrests allows for personalisation, with a choice of rectangular or circular areas to include your crest or logo, as well as the option to incorporate a commemorative / memorial plaque if required.

**Concrete surface fixing bolts and delivery come as standard. (Please refer to our fixing instructions here)

The Lowther Seat is also available as a smaller single seat model.

Optional personalised rectangular graphics or circular plaques with graphics can be supplied with the seat (as shown below), - please contact us for more information.

Optional Memorial Plaque:
A laser etched, stainless steel memorial plaque with your choice of dedication can be supplied with this seat. It is ideal for outdoor environments and will keep its appearance for many years with minimal maintenance.
Laser etching offers greater flexibility for your message and can even include simple graphics.
When you place an order, we will produce a computer visual that will be sent to you to ensure the wording is exactly how you want it. Once we receive your approval, your plaque will be engraved as quickly as possible. The ordering process usually takes 4-6 weeks from beginning to end.

From the very first enquiry, to meeting M****** at the factory who looked after me and my colleague very professionally and took a great interest in the story we had to tell behind our cricket team and reason for the memorial bench, to the team who I dealt with right through with A***** and K******, I couldn't fault anything. Although the delivery was not something I could be involved with due to it's far location, I understand from the Riverdale Hotel where it was delivered to, everything was spot on. 3. We wanted a bench that was largely maintenance free due to it being located where we would only be visiting occasionally but annually. This bench ticks all the boxes in that regard, and the quality will stand up to any use it encounters. 4. We needed to change part of our order and this was handled very quickly and with no fuss 4. Due to it's delivery location perhaps an email confirming it had arrived would have been appropriate for me as the hotel failed to let me know, but otherwise all other communication was good. 5. I couldn't fault anything. The way me and my colleague was looked after at our initial meeting at the factory with M****** was very reassuring and professional and as I mentioned, he took a genuine interest in our story behind the purchase. It was so pleasing for us that he took time to deal with what to the company is a small purchase. M****** mentioned that you might be interested in receiving a photo or two of the bench at it's location and a small account of the story behind it with a view to putting it into your in-house magazine. 1. Having to leave messages and wait for call-backs during lockdown was a bit cumbersome. 2. Driver was asked to ring me on day of delivery, I didn't receive that call. 4. none needed nor received. 5. Without Covid limitations I probably would have scored this a 5 Generally excellent but understandably compromised a bit by the Covid restrictions.I also seem to recall being sent a pro-forma invoice after we had already paid but a call to your Finance team soon sorted this.

1. Service was excellent but had to deal with different departments and correct details several times. This was probably as a result of covid situation but would be nice to deal with one person throughout. 2. The person who delivered the benches was brilliant, polite and a great sense of humour. I was only given information that delivery would be in the next 5 days and was in tescos when he called to say he was at the delivery address. Luckily I could be there quickly but more warning preferred even the day would have been helpful. Also the benches were very heavy and he had no one to help him unload. 3. Very pleased with the product. As I have said i am delighted with the benches and service, each individual I dealt with gave great service too many people involved and more information regarding delivery timing would have been helpful. However all worked out well
